Silver City’s Wild Wild West Professional Rodeo features high-flying bull riding, fast riding and roping and much more, all under the cool evening skies of Silver City. The annual rodeo competition features some of the nation's toughest cowboys and toughest bulls. Events are held at the Southwest Horsemen's Association rodeo grounds, just off US Highway 180 East and Caballero Drive.2010 Rodeo Dates: May 31: Pot of Silver Open Calf and Team roping 9am -- Cowboy Introduction at the Flame (The Official Dance Hall & Saloon) 7:00 pm.June 2: Slack 9 am --Boys N Bulls at 8 pm -- gates open at 6 pm -- mutton bustin’ 7:30 pm.June 3: TOUGH ENOUGH TO WEAR PINK NIGHT -- Wear PINK in support of cancer research and treatment. 6:45 pm is the EXCEPTIONAL RODEO where kids with disabilities ride with pros. June 3, 4, 5:Rodeo performances start at 8 pm -- gates open at 6 pm –- mutton bustin’ at 7:30 pm. Every night: Mark Swingler Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Pro Rodeo Clown-Barrelman-Entertainer!Tickets $10/advance and $15/at the gate. All Law Enforcement and Military persons in uniform to be admitted FREE to Rodeo performances every night. Shuttle runs from 1st New Mexico Bank parking lot from 6-7:45 pm. You can purchase tickets on shuttle for the $10 advance price.Invited are the various Rodeo Royalty; queens and princesses.
