Vintage vehicles of all kinds, hot cars from the past — dozens of them, in every shape and color — will be rolling into Silver City for the 17th Annual Run to Copper Country Car Show, sponsored by The Copper Country Cruizers.
The show is open to all vehicles, 1973 and older. Registration, at $35 per car, will begin on Friday, August 15, from 2 pm - 8 pm at the Holiday Inn Express, and continue at Gough Park on Saturday morning. The show will wrap up on Sunday, August 17 with a farewell get together for participants.
The car show, hosted by the Copper Country Cruizers, will take place on Saturday, August 16 at Gough Park, from 8 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m. (depending on weather). During the show, exhibitors feature meticulously restored autos, both the classic and the obscure, from 1973 and earlier. Awards and trophies are presented in a number of restoration and showmanship categories.
The public is invited to come enjoy the car show at no charge. There will be vendors, refreshments, raffles and of course, oldies music, in addition to all the beautifuil vehicles on display. Throughout the show schedule, the Cruziers also sponsor cruises downtown and evening dining.
The cruizers are a family-oriented auto club, and each year, the Cruizers use the money raised at this event, to support charities and scholarship funds.
